Have you ever experienced that trait of being unbelievably bored? You know, when you feel like you have no one around to keep you company or no exciting activity to engage in? It’s happened to all of us at some point. That bored and drained sensation can be a real bummer. Don’t worry though, I’ve got the answer for you – spending time with yourself is the absolute better way of spending your precious time. You heard me – self-care is the way to go!
Believe me, just take it easy. I usually advise to make friends with books, but some people have told me that they find it tedious to read books. I comprehend that. Yet I still advocate, in the beginning you may find it a bit dull but ultimately you could end up relishing it. Regardless, I grasp that we all have our individual temperaments and that is perfect.
Don’t be disheartened if you don’t read regularly. I urge you to do something to get started. When you are alone, and also you are a kind of person who really don’t read much. Then this is for you, believe alone time is the perfect opportunity to jot down your interests in a way that will make you feel inspired. Write it down and read it back for motivation.
I give you an example, Suppose someone likes exercising. They will write. “I like doing excercise. I love doing excercise. I am becoming physically fit day-by-day. I have found, early morning runnings are helping me get a better health. I am becoming more focused and calm. I am going to continue with my runnings as I know, for sure, it will help me boost my mood tremendously and bring happiness to my life unexpectedly.” This was just one example, it could be anything based on your interests , pursuits and personality.
Instead of moping around when you’re all on your own, it’s a great idea to take some time to listen to yourself and write down your pursuits. Put that piece of paper somewhere safe, but also somewhere you can easily see – and when boredom strikes, have a read louder for at least 5 minutes and remind yourself of your interests!
I guarantee that you’ll soon notice a change in your mindset. You’ll not only derive pleasure from your own company, but also look forward to those moments in which you can be alone. There’s so much you can discover about yourself when it is just you!
