The worth of time

Spread the love

Let’s begin this post with a thoughtful inspirational quote on “Time“, dedicated by “Steve Jobs”:

“For the past 33 years, I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: ‘If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?’ And whenever the answer has been ‘No’ for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something.”

People who say they don’t know how to fill their day

We have got so much to live, love, and learn and yet we say we don’t know what else to do. Do you really think, you know everything around the world? Of-course not and it can never be possible to know everything, but if you say things like – “oh I don’t know what to do, I am so bored”– it all means your perspective needs to get widen. You must see around and observe that there are plenty of things to do. It could be anything based on your basic nature. It could be exercising, cooking, reading, playing, walking, swimming, anything that give you real pleasure.

Apart from that, you might want to start learning some new things from the scratch. How about getting familiar with tech? Suppose you’re running a conventional firm and now you’d like to create a web presence such as a website, app or something similar to help grow the business. I’d definitely say there’s something exciting to go ahead.

All it takes is the right attitude: having the willingness to learn.

People with “don’t have time” attitude:

There are some who might say they don’t have any time, but if you ask them about a recent news headline, the newest film reviews, what music just dropped, what the neighbors are up to, and the goings-on of their family and friends, they know exactly what’s going on! Yet they say they don’t have time 🤔.  It’s weird, isn’t it?

We don’t accomplish things by ourselves and make “time” the scapegoat for our shortcomings. Have you heard the phrase, “I wish I had more time,” without realizing there is already plenty of it? Let’s not forget that!

Time and everyday stuff:

  1. You could consider rising early in the morning and making your bed as a kind of warm-up! So your mind won’t complain “oh I didn’t stretch my body enough to relax my bones”.
  2. You could switch over to watch something meaningful while doing your breakfast if watching is what you like to do while eating!
  3. You could play some audio books while driving instead of listening to music or chatting with someone which seems to be really waste of time and energy.
  4. You could—- Instead of gossiping and discussing stories with limited perspective, why don’t you use the 15 minutes of your lunch break to think of new and innovative ideas with your co-workers?
  5. You could opt to take the stairs instead of the elevator if it’s not too tall a building. Think of it as a way to work out!

This is all about using your bits and pieces of time wisely and in a more constructive and productive way!

Efficient Time Utilisers

The most indispensable gift one give to themselves it their own time.

They can utilise time to discover themselves, to find out, what is that if they put up with the time, it gives them fruitful results after each passing day, month or year.

Prioritise your task top in the list. Take that wishful thinking in your subconscious mind by repeating it, writing it down somewhere in front where you can see it every passing way, recall it every single day, work on it.

Time is invaluable. Remember you can’t bring 02/02/2023 back in your life when it’s gone. You can never live this day again. It will be a history tomorrow. You have to make sure when you wake up in the morning, you acknowledge the importance of the day and  you make sure, you gotta utilise this day so beautifully that when you look back, you say “wow” what were the day.

Keep “wow” feeling in each passing day, so that when you reflect your life, sitting at 80’s or 90’s of your age, you feel not only proud on yourself, but also thankful saying, “Wow what were the life”.

Tik Tik…Time is fleeting like sand slipping through the fingers. It will flow at its pace. It’s us who have to catch up with its flow having right directional mindset.
